Experienced. Certified. Supportive.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Code of Ethics and Good Practice, therefore, any information relating to you and the process of counselling and psychotherapy is strictly confidential.
I am flexible in my approach to working with each individual client. The direction the therapy takes is determined by you, and may be facilitated by a variety of creative methods including role play, art and imagery.
Mental health difficulties don’t suddenly appear, they develop over time as a result of childhood development, our past experiences, and our current environment. I work in partnership with you using two different styles of counselling to explore the origins of your issues, and to understand the impact they have on your daily life. This combined approach helps us identify unhelpful thinking styles, repeating patterns of behaviour, and the unconscious processes that may be contributing to, and maintaining your difficulties. Through this exploration we can together find ways of increasing your self-awareness, developing greater inner strength, and furthering your personal growth and emotional wellbeing.
